[Novices] Klauncher could not be reached by DCOP

I am getting the error "Klauncher could not be reached by DCOP" with
increasing frequency using KDE on Mandriva 2005.  The only solution to
this I have found so far is to reboot.  Actually I have been less than
happy with this version in general.  Any ideas or suggestions?
