[Novices] Fedora.us and Livna vs Dag and FreshRPMs

Hello all.

I'm running Fedora Core 3 (just made the switch from
FC2), and I'm trying to get my yum repositories set
up.  I'm not worried about the technical details of
editing yum.conf or anything, that I can figure out. 
What I am wondering about are supposed problems
involved in mixing the Fedora Extras (formerly
Fedora.us) and Livna repo with the FreshRPMs and Dag's
(among others) repos.  If I read the FAQs correctly,
it seems I have a choice to make, one or the other,
but I can't have both.  

If anyone has any glowing reviews, horror stories, or
you just plain old prefer one over the other for some
reason, please drop me a line and leave a little
advice.  Thanks.
