[Novices] recording on a floppy

It should be obvious.  In gnome, there is a floppy icon on my desktop
and the file manager sees it like a directory on the hard drive.  It
would seem like KDE would have something similar ...

Otherwise, browse your KDE file manager (whatever they call it) over to
"/media" and see if it contains a directory named "floppy" or something
similar.  If so, browse it and see if your floppy starts making noise.
