This is what works for me with FC3.  SuSE shouldn't be
too much different.

1. Open up a terminal window
2. Type: ls /usr/lib/firefox*
3. Your most recent firefox directory should be the
one with the most files, and also the one that has the
file "firefox" in it.
4. Once you know what the directory is (mine is
"firefox-1.0.3"), type out the command with the full
path (for me it would be this:) 
/usr/lib/firefox-1.0.3/firefox -profilemanager
5. At this point, Firefox's profile manager should
appear, follow the directions as below.
