It means the *QUEUE* is accepting jobs.  The problem with the printer 
is "Device
URI: hp:/no_device_found" - the queue isn't connected to any device.  
Is this a
USB printer?
 Yes.
 And as an aside,  I put the 64 bit Ubuntu in Leola's laptop and it rocognized and identified the printer during the install process and PRINTED.
 I wonder about this.  When I install from my desktop, the print thingy does not find my printer.  As a matter of fact.  I just went back to "page 1 and played around with the buttons and the system  definately does not see the printer.  I have to select the brand and model  on page 2 and then proceed.
