OK. Well I went in and shut down both eth0 (cable) and eth1 (wireless),
made sure that the cable for eth0 was disconnected and then ran 'ifup
eth0'. This finally worked. Also when I restarted without the ethernet
cable I was able to activate eth1 wireless. So at least now I'm in. I'll
probably experiment some to see what the "rules of engagement" are
between the two eth's and if I just can't try to have both up at once.
