[Novices] Dual boot problem.

Where did you put your boot loader? If it is not in the master boot record
or if you have WinXP on a second partition after Ubuntu you will have some
problems. Is this the first time you tried to boot after an install? If you
need Xp to load try putting in your boot disc. Back up everything that is
important. You could try booting into safe mode F8. I am running WinXp and
Kubuntu as a dual boot but I have them running on different HD's with Xp on
the master HD and Kubuntu on a slave with the boot loader in the master boot
record and everything works great that way. Sorry I could not be of much
