[Novices] mepis install

Hi,
I am new to KLUG. I live in Rockford Michigan. Anyone else on the
list that lives in Rockford? If so let me know. I loaded Mepis
and on my laptop the other day. It ran beautifully but I had no
clue how to configure the wireless card. I couldn't get it to
work. It worked fine with a wired connection. The laptop died
today, so it might be awhile before I can play with Mepis again,
but I want to continue using linux. I am hoping I will find
someone in the Rockford area who can help me become familiar with
some of the basic linux applications.
