Looks like it. I emailed myself some known good code and when it
returned, I copied/pasted into a file and grep could find the odd chars.

I tried pasting it into a gnome-terminal window running vi and it was
still there.

Doesn't appear to be the copy/pasting but the sending/receiving of the
email.

Ah well, would have been interesting to know. Now I have to figure out
how to upgrade evolution.
