We are looking for speakers and ideas on speakers to invite to fill out
our topic series that we have scheduled for 2004.

This series will focus on OpenSource desktop applications such as GIMP,
Open Office, Evolution, etc...We'd really like to see specific topics
explored in some depth to helppeople migrating to a Linux desktop be
even more productive than ontheir Windows desktop. Suggested topics:
Cleaning up images with GIMP,Macros or Large Documents in Open office,
Managing your schedule inEvolution, Instant Messaging applications,
etc..

This series will cover the nuts-n-boltsof how-it-really-works. Suggested
topics: sorting algorithms, databaseoptimizers and join techniques,
hardware detection, etc...

"TCO" Dates Available:

This series will not be focused so much ontechnology, but the "Why Open
Source?" question. Is Linux really abetter choice for businesses than
that alternative OS? If so, Why? Weintend to promote this series to the
local business community.
