[Speakers] Back to the basics?

We've had a couple of "Date Available" presentations recently, and there
are more scheduled in the future. That implies a lack of presenters.
That's a shame since we have a wealth of experienced Linux sysadmins in
the group.
Might I suggest that we fill some of these dates with some more simple
and basic presentations? Topics that our more experienced Linux users
can do with little or no preparation? Things a sysadmin uses every day,
but would be useful to some of the newer users in the group?
These presentations might be shorter and less elaborate than what we've
come to expect. They might not even have a formal slide show, some
might consist of just a shell window and an interactive tutorial. Some
might consist of going though some man pages with the audience.
I'm thinking of the basic *nix commands and services. Things like
cron/at, nfs, vi, basic command line usage, compiling source, ......
Basic stuff to many of us, but could be very good for newbies. And,
IMO it beats "Date Available".
I'd be willing to make some of these presentations, _IF_ I can get some
feedback from newbies about what they would like to see presented.
