Not personally, but the Morrison Industries intranet currenltly in RC
(internally, of course) uses AJAX.  It works well and makes somethings MUCH
easier for the user.  But I'm not the web developer.

Yep,  another thing to look at is SOGo with provides an AJAX front end to mail
that looks almost exactly like M$-Outlook, but entirely in a web browser.  You
really can do very cool things (but I think round trip to the server is enough
of a limitation that I don't think they *really* compete with desktop apps).
