Born 1972. Graduated/Survived Tri-County Public High School 1991. Entered Grand Rapids Community College on an Electrical Technician program. Ended up with a Unix Administration Certificate. Married 1998. Currently work as the Systems and Network Administrator, and closet web developer, for Morrison Industries where I get to work on Linux, AIX, NT (Yipeee!), and Cisco boxes. First used Linux on my amd386DX40 after reading the AIX manuals while waiting for reel-to-reel tapes to actually do anything. I thought, "Wow this UNIX thing looks pretty amazing" (especially when compared to WfWg), and I got a copy of Iggdrasil Linux with kernel version 0.99a at a whopping price of $10. Although I didn't even expect it to work (given it's price compared to that of AIX), it installed perfectly and I've been using Linux for just about everything ever since.
